Hi! I’m Emilie!
I am so glad you made your way to my therapy room! Let me go ahead and share a little about myself, starting with my core values.
Firstly, the therapeutic relationship is the foundation to the rest of the work we will do. Each relationship is very important to me and valued. With those relationships, I cultivate trust, safety, fun and a place for you to feel unconditionally accepted and heard.
Next authenticity, I’m not just a therapist, I’m a real human. I’ll laugh with you, share pain with you and be someone you can rely on but also relate to.
Listening, it seems like a given but I hold space for each story. My clients have stated “I’m amazed how you remember all these things I’ve mentioned”.
Lastly, adaptability. Our sessions don’t have to be all about talking, processing, educating they can be connecting, humor, games, art, relaxation and even silence. Molded to your comfort and pace.
My specialties are in trauma informed care. Though I have a wide range of experience covering but not limited to anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, ADHD and/or Autism, grief, self esteem, communication and conflict, attachment, PTSD.
Outside therapy I enjoy cooking, traveling, creating art and cuddling with my cat, Lucy.
