Pronouns: she/they

We haven’t met yet, but I think we might like each other. I’m a recent addition to the practice, with over 6 years’ experience providing mental health care in addiction treatment centers and public schools, and I am so happy to be here.

Here’s what I’ve figured out about my work, and if this resonates with you, I think we’ll have a great working relationship:

  • As a queer woman with a casual relationship to my assigned gender, I want to support others in the LGBTQIA+ community as best I can.

  • I incorporate creativity-based work (drawing, writing, painting, tarot) into my therapy practice because I believe it allows for multiple levels of expression and understanding.

  • All of life is practice, and I believe strongly in practicing being my authentic human self (laughing, making mistakes and repairing, swearing, asking questions, sitting with hard stuff, crying, etc.) with my clients.

  • I am reading and learning a lot right now, which means I will probably ask you, “Oh my gosh, can I tell you about what I read recently and how it might help us make sense of what you just said/thought/felt/experienced?”

  • My main goal is to imbue my belief that everyone deserves love, respect, and a place to feel safe into everything I do with clients and colleagues.

While my work has been primarily CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-focused, I find myself moving more toward somatic and expressive therapies and mindfulness.

Compensation

I am currently in network with UHC and Medicare. I am awaiting being paneled with Cigna, Aetna, Medicaid, Ambetter and HSH insurance. I also offer self-pay and can provide superbills.
