Hi!

Thank you so much for considering more help for yourself or your loved one, this is a big step, and I don’t want it to go by without you being able to recognize that. My name is Emily Rohman, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, who transferred from being a Certified School Counselor (K-12). With this background in schools, it just means that I know best practices, and some ways to advocate for additional educational support for students who might need a little extra help.

I am well versed in emotional regulation, trauma-informed practices, ADHD, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+, & grief, and incorporating play therapy. On top of all of that, I like to recognize that as a white person, I am continuously reflecting and working to make sure that I am doing my part at being culturally informed and anti-racist.

Here are some things about me:

  • Connection is the #1 predictor of success, so this is the most important aspect of therapy for me.
  • If I can incorporate movement, creativity, or play into any form of learning, I will do so (this does include memes)
  • I am a therapist that sees a therapist. It is important for my own self-care (no, we don’t talk about you).
  • I use the fidgets in the room just as much as you do (they have all been tested by me).
  • I ask hard questions, and you might not know the answers to them, that is perfectly ok - we are all here to learn.
  • I am here to work for and with you.

I am of the theory “when we know better, we do better” - and I hope that every human can view themselves in that lens, instead of guilt for the past, and the “shoulds” in life. I have modalities of therapy that I use (CBT, Solution Focused & Person-Centered), but I do my best to tailor to you, since no human is one size fits all.

My door is open to children (7+), teens, and young adults. I look forward to our journey together. I also offer ADHD assessments!

Compensation

I accept Cigna, Aetna, UHC, Medicare, Medicaid, Ambetter and HSH insurance, self-pay and can provide superbills.
